| I have enjoyed teaching the piano to students of all ages since 1985. My teaching goal is to share the joy and explore the complexity of God’s Gift of Music with my students. Lessons incorporate several reading approaches with basic (and important) theory and technique, and also emphasize musical playing. Having fun at the keyboard is a priority and parental participation and communication is valued. Advancing students participate in WSMTA adjudications each spring; receiving evaluations and encouragement. Having raised seven children, providing foster care for 19 years, and enjoying the blessings of nine Super Special grandchildren; I recognize the need for flexibility, and work with my students’ families to keep their music playing!
